Project Overview

Almacenes Solar is a logistics and warehousing company that needed a stronger digital presence. Their existing site had outdated visual design and usability practices that didn't reflect the scale of their operation. I led the redesign, covering both design and front end development, including implementing a 360° warehouse tour to give prospective clients a way to see the facility's capacity remotely.

Problem
The previous site's outdated design and poor usability made it difficult to communicate the scale and quality of Almacenes Solar's warehouse operations. For a logistics client, trusting a provider's physical capacity is a key factor before doing business with them, and a weak digital presence gave prospects no way to evaluate that without an in-person visit.
Goals
  • Modernize the visual design to reflect the scale and professionalism of the operation
  • Give prospective clients a way to evaluate warehouse capacity without visiting in person
  • Improve overall usability of the site
  • Deliver both design and front end implementation, including the 360° tour integration
Research
A UX audit of the existing site was conducted using Nielsen's usability heuristics, identifying where outdated design patterns and inconsistent navigation were undermining both usability and the perception of professionalism needed to build trust with prospective logistics clients.
Key insights
  • The heuristic audit confirmed that outdated visual design and inconsistent navigation were actively working against the credibility a logistics provider needs to project, not just a matter of aesthetic preference
  • For a logistics provider, trust depends heavily on physical capacity that's hard to communicate through text or static photos alone, a remote way to "see" the warehouse directly addresses that trust gap
  • Using specialized 360° camera equipment, produced with support from a multimedia team, allowed the tour to feel like an authentic walkthrough rather than a marketing gimmick
  • Modernizing the visual design alone wouldn't have solved the core trust problem, pairing it with the 360° tour gave prospects tangible evidence of capacity, not just a better looking claim of it
User profile
Primary users are prospective B2B clients evaluating Almacenes Solar as a logistics and warehousing provider, who need to assess the company's physical capacity and professionalism before committing to a business relationship.
Main user flow

The experience guides visitors to:

  1. Understand Almacenes Solar's services and capabilities through a modernized site
  2. Explore the warehouse remotely through the 360° tour to evaluate capacity firsthand
  3. Reach out with confidence built from that direct visual evidence
UX & UI decisions
  • Modern visual design replacing outdated patterns to reflect operational scale and professionalism
  • Integrated 360° warehouse tour, implemented using a specialized plugin, produced with 360° camera equipment and support from a multimedia team
  • Improved usability throughout the site's navigation and content structure
  • Full front end implementation to support the interactive tour and overall redesign
Outcome
The redesign replaced an outdated, hard to trust digital presence with a modern site that gives prospective clients tangible evidence of Almacenes Solar's warehouse capacity, through an integrated 360° tour built with specialized camera equipment. No post-launch results or feedback are available for this project at this time.
