Project Overview

This landing page was built for Capilla Cooking Oil, one of Ibarra Mayoreo's e-commerce best sellers, identified as such by the marketing team based on sales performance. The goal was to give the product a dedicated experience beyond a standard catalog listing, focused on driving conversion through richer product content. I worked as both designer and front end developer on this project.

Problem
As a best selling product, Capilla Cooking Oil was likely converting well within the general catalog, but its standard product page didn't take advantage of that momentum. It didn't showcase the product in a way that could drive additional conversion, through recipe inspiration, usage ideas, or detailed nutritional information that a high-intent visitor might want before purchasing.
Goals
  • Give a proven best seller a dedicated page built specifically to increase conversion
  • Showcase the product through recipes and usage inspiration, not just a product listing
  • Present nutritional information clearly for health-conscious buyers
  • Deliver both design and front end implementation for the page

  • A best selling product already has proven demand, so the opportunity wasn't to convince visitors to want it, it was to remove any remaining friction or hesitation before purchase
  • Recipe and usage content gives a commodity product like cooking oil a reason to be chosen over a competitor on the shelf, turning a functional purchase into an inspired one
