Project Overview

This project was a marketing campaign landing page built for Unilever within Ibarra Mayoreo's e-commerce platform. Ibarra Mayoreo runs brand campaigns like this one regularly, roughly once or twice a month, and this campaign required aligning the page's design with Unilever's brand manual while connecting visitors to the participating products within the existing catalog. I worked as UI/UX designer and front end developer, handling both the visual design and the code implementation of the campaign.

Problem
The campaign needed a landing page that felt authentically on-brand for Unilever, using their brand guidelines for color, typography, and tone, while still guiding visitors clearly toward viewing or purchasing the participating products inside Ibarra Mayoreo's catalog. Campaign pages that don't clearly connect back to the product catalog risk generating interest without converting it into action.
Goals
  • Align the landing page precisely with Unilever's brand manual
  • Design clear calls to action directing visitors to view and engage with participating products
  • Support a companion email campaign in Mailchimp promoting the same landing page
  • Deliver both design and front end implementation for a fast, on-brand launch
Key insights
  • A strong brand manual defines visual identity but not page structure or conversion path, translating Unilever's guidelines into a layout that also drove product engagement was a separate design decision, not something the brand manual dictated
  • Because Ibarra Mayoreo runs campaigns like this frequently, the page needed clear, prominent CTAs that worked for a visitor arriving with campaign-specific intent, not general catalog browsing behavior
  • Pairing the landing page with a Mailchimp email campaign meant the page needed to deliver on the specific promise made in the email, keeping messaging consistent across both touchpoints

Delivering both the design and front end code allowed for a fast, accurately on-brand launch aligned with Unilever's guidelines, with clear conversion paths connecting campaign visitors to participating products in the catalog.
